About Us
We are located in Armstrong, B.C. Canada and have had purebred poultry
and waterfowl for 20+ yrs. We relocated here from Calahoo, Alberta in
2009 and the birds love it. On the pages you visit here you will see
pictures of our most recent winnings with our birds. We breed for
quality and only hatch a small number of each breed, we do not sell eggs
or chicks and offer a few pairs of the breeds we have avilable every
year, most are pre-ordered.
Every breed we have are from some of the finest bloodlines avilable in
their respective breeds. We only sell stock of the highest quality we
can and if it isn't good enough to stay here then it isn't good enough
for me to sell.
I spend many hours choosing our breeding pens and our birds are pair or
trio mated. My name is Heather Hayes and I am an Americian Poultry
Association
and an Americian Bantam Association General Licensed Judge as well as
having my Bantam Duck License with ABA. I am an active judge and I am
honored to be chosen to judge all over Canada and the U.S.A as well as
being both a current and past director for both clubs.
My husband, Mike, and I are avid gardeners and I work with the juniors in
our area as well as being active in our local poultry club,
The Vernon
Pigeon and Poultry Club. A list of the other clubs we belong
to can be found below.
This is a wonderful hobby that suits many of us and both through my
exhibiting and judging both myself and Mike have been blessed to have
made many life long friends and to have met just generally wonderful people
involved in the hobby.
I would encourage anyone new-comers to this great hobby to join the American Poultry Assocation as they are the stewards of our breed standards, and above all start with quality stock from breeders who are breeding to these standards. There are many top notch breeders and exhibitors out there with the will to share their knowledge of their chosen breeds.
